Forniture stands behind the quality of every piece of furniture we sell. This warranty policy outlines the coverage, terms, and claim process for our products.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any statutory consumer guarantees.

1. 5-Year Frame Warranty

All furniture purchased from Forniture comes with a 5-year warranty on the frame and structural components, commencing from the date of delivery.

What is covered:

  • Structural frame defects (broken, cracked, or warped frames)
  • Joint and connection failures under normal use
  • Spring and suspension system failures (sofas and chairs)
  • Leg and base structural failures

2. 12-Month Material Warranty

Upholstery materials (leather, fabric) and mechanical components are covered for 12 months from delivery.

What is covered:

  • Premature peeling, cracking, or discolouration of leather (beyond normal patina)
  • Fabric seam failures or excessive pilling
  • Recliner mechanism failures
  • Zipper and fastener defects

3. What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear, including natural leather ageing and fabric fading
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents
  • Damage from pets, sharp objects, or chemical exposure
  • Damage from improper cleaning or maintenance
  • Modifications or repairs by unauthorised parties
  • Natural variations in wood grain, leather texture, or colour (these are characteristics of natural materials)
  • Damage caused by exposure to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, or extreme temperatures
  • Commercial or non-residential use (unless purchased under our Business Procurement service)

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] or via WeChat (Furniture_AU) with your order number
  2. Provide clear photos or videos showing the defect
  3. Describe the issue and when it first appeared
  4. We will assess the claim within 5 business days and advise on the remedy

5. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is approved, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the defective component
  • Replace the defective component or product with an equivalent item
  • Provide a partial or full refund if repair or replacement is not feasible

Shipping costs for warranty repairs or replacements within Melbourne Metro are covered by Forniture.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
